UnitingCare Werribee Support and Housing offers housing support services to people who live in, or are connected to, the municipality of Wyndham. Our housing support services focus on prevention and early intervention. Access to the service is via referral from Yarra Community Housing (previously known as Metro West). All referrals will go through an Intake Process. Assessment and allocation of a support period is dependent on vacancies within the Service. Our housing services offer four targeted programs-The Family Crisis Program, the Family Program, the Single Adults and the Youth Program (which sits within our Youth Services Team).

The program offers emergency accommodation and support for families experiencing a housing crisis. The program is designed to assist families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. The focus of the program is to help client's access long term housing. The program has access to four properties where families are offered a twelve week tenancy whilst provided with support to look for permanent housing.
The program offers support to families primarily through Transitional Housing. Short to medium term transitional housing and support is available to families 25-65 years of age. Program staff work intensively with families to support access to private rental, complete Office of Housing and Community Housing applications and explore long term housing options.
This program offers support to single adults who are over 26 years of age and require housing support. The program is able to assist in accessing private rental in the Wyndham area as the agency does not have any single adult accommodation. The program can also refer to the more intensive support and crisis housing provided in the Melbourne central business district.
