About us

Currently there are 16 staff employed by UnitingCare Werribee Support and Housing and we benefit from the services of 65 volunteers. Staff and volunteers deliver services in the following program areas:

Housing Support Services

• The Single Adults Program
• The Family Program
• The Family Crisis Program

Youth Services

• Bridges Adolescent Foster Care Program - Adolescent Community Placement (ACP) which provides:
  
  • Short and long term placement of young people 12-18 years- child protection and foster placement
  • Recruitment, training, assessment and accreditation of Foster Carers
• Resolve (which comprises)
  • Equipped-An Independent Living Skills Program for young people
  • Mediation-A Parent and Adolescent Mediation Service 
• Youth Housing Program - Supported Accommodation and Assistance Program (SAAP)

Early Intervention

• Reconnect West (Parent and Adolescent Mediation, Counselling, Case Management and Community Development)
• Wyndham Information and Support Program (WISP) - A crisis short term program offering support, information, referral, advocacy and short term counselling
• Crisis Counselling- Vulenerable families

Volunteer Programs

• Care and Concern (which provides)
  • Emergency Relief Food Vouchers (Mondays and Fridays)
  • Breakfast Program for Emergency Relief Clients (Mondays and Fridays)
  • Food parcels (Monday to Friday)
  • Furniture Program for clients of the Agency
  • Opportunity Shop (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10am to 2pm)
  • UnitingCare Christmas Gift Appeal
